The Sandbox interface was initially designed to overcome limitations imposed by some hosting companies which either do not allow FTP or have restrictions on how FTP can be accessed.
Once the Sandbox has been uploaded to your hosting service you are able to log in and control your website with ease, without the hassle of FTP or uploading files.
While Sandbox started as a way to add a backend method of editing and uploading files, it has also incorporated an admin control system which allows you to set up your own online shop.
Controls for categories, products and even suppliers can be added and edited from the admin panel, creating a dynamic website and online shop with little effort.
A new Page Builder module has been developed, create pages for your website quickly and easily, without having to understand the language that goes behind the page.
06/07/2011 - Sandbox is moving away from basic file editing and is moving towards dynamically driven content. The Sandbox project will be rebranded and split into 2 seperate components, Sandbox-Basic and Sandbox-Professional.
- Sandbox-Basic will remain available to download for FREE with limited support, with fixes as they become available.
- Sandbox-Professional will be available under licence, with complete support and rapid-response updates for security patches, bugfixes and new additions. Also includes an advanced integrated version of Sandbox-Basic.
